How much does it cost to hire a podcast studio in London?
Self-operated dry hire starts at £40/hr. A fully supported video session with a dedicated sound engineer and two Sony FX3 cameras is £150/hr, and a full produced episode (recording plus edit) starts from £550. Optional add-ons can be selected during booking.
How do I book the studio?
You can book online, pick your session type and a time slot and you’re confirmed instantly. For production, branded or bespoke projects, just get in touch and we’ll plan it with you.
Where is the studio?
We are in the basement of 21Soho, 3–5 Sutton Row, London W1D 4NR, in the heart of Soho.
How do I get to the studio?
We’re a short walk from Tottenham Court Road, Oxford Circus, Leicester Square and Piccadilly Circus. It’s central Soho, so public transport is the easiest way in.
Is there a minimum booking length?
Sessions are booked by the hour, so you can keep it short or take your time. Not sure how long you’ll need? Get in touch and we’ll help you plan it.
Can I bring my own crew and equipment?
Absolutely. Dry hire is self-operated, so you’re welcome to bring your own crew, cameras or kit and run the session your way.
How many people can the studio fit?
The studio seats up to four guests around the table. A third camera is available on request, and remote guests can be added as an extra.
Can I bring remote guests?
Yes, a remote guest setup is available as an add-on, so anyone can join your session from anywhere and be captured cleanly alongside the people in the room.
Do you provide a sound engineer and cameras?
Yes. Our Video Recording and Full Package sessions include a dedicated sound engineer and two Sony FX3 cameras, with lighting and audio handled on the day. Dry hire is self-operated, and you can add these as extras.
What cameras and equipment are in the studio?
Two Sony FX3 cameras as standard (a third on request), professional microphones and a full audio rig, in a properly soundproofed space. Supported sessions also include lighting and an engineer.
Can I record a video podcast?
Yes, every supported session is set up for video with two Sony FX3 cameras as standard. You get the raw video and audio files, usually within 24 hours.
Can you livestream my session?
Yes, livestreaming to any platform is available as an add-on, so you can broadcast your session live as you record.
Can you edit my episode and make clips?
Yes. You can add a video edit, audio edit, audio/video sync and subtitled social clips at booking, or hand the whole show to us. See podcast production for ongoing support.
How and when will I get my files?
All raw video and audio files are delivered via WeTransfer, usually within 24 hours of your session.
Do you offer regular or recurring bookings?
Yes. Lots of shows record with us regularly, if you’d like a recurring slot or an ongoing arrangement, get in touch and we’ll sort it.
Do you provide refreshments?
Unlimited proper tea & coffee from the 21Soho café upstairs is available as an add-on for your session.
